Home Staging

Before & After Photos

The photographs below show what a difference staging a room can make.  It goes without saying when you think about it that the goal when selling a home is for it to appeal to the widest possible range of tastes - so a larger number of people may be interested in making it their home.

A Well Loved Dining Room

There is nothing really wrong with this dining room.  In fact you can almost imagine all of the wonderful family gatherings that have been held in this room..

But, look at the difference after it was staged...

A new more modern paint color, removing the drapes to let in more light and replacing the furniture with a smaller table with cleaner lines makes this room look like something you may find in a designer catalog.

OK, so they are packing....

It is hard for potential buyers to focus on the amount of space in this family room - when there is a lot of "stuff" in the way...

But, after it was packed ...

All that was done to this room was pack the "stuff", take down the damaged and dirty looking blinds, clean the carpet and paint the walls a contrasting color to the ceiling.  Much better.  I know that is not really staging but it is an example of what can be done when we help..

A bland room with a red dining room beyond the fireplace ...

Again, there is nothing wrong with this room but its best features can be easily overlooked.  The view through the dated old sliding doors, the mirror that blends into the brick of the fireplace and the dated dining room color  beyond.

But, adding more color and painting one or two walls...

Replacing the beige and dated looking sofa with a blue sofa and chair, a contrasting rug, adding a black frame to the mirror and painting the red walls in the dining room to match the living area,  was all it took to give the impression of more space - and an updated  look.  It made the home  "move in ready".

More Before & Afters...

What a Difference....

The dated wood panels and fireplace plus the splotchy ceiling gave the impression to potential buyers that this house was a "fixer upper" - when all that was required was a coat of paint and removing the stained old carpet.

Look How Much Lighter The Room Is Now

After painting the room, walls and fireplace and replacing the carpet with engineered hardwoods this room was staged.  Now it will look move in ready to people that see it.
